BEIRUT, Sept. 2 (Xinhua) -- Hezbollah leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah said on Monday that his party's attack on Sunday targeting an Israeli military vehicle in northern Israel is "the beginning of a new phase," Al Manar local TV Channel reported.

"Hezbollah no longer has red lines because its attack on Sunday took place across the border inside pre-1948 Palestinian territory rather than the occupied Shebaa Farms," Nasrallah said a day after Hezbollah launched missiles at a military vehicle near Avivim military base.

Nasrallah added that his party's attack on Avivim military base aimed at conveying a message to the Israelis that their border and troops would be at risk from a Hezbollah retaliation if they attempt to attack Lebanon.

Hezbollah destroyed an Israeli military vehicle in northern Israeli town of Avivim close to the border with Lebanon in retaliation to a series of airstrikes conducted on Aug. 24 by Israel Defense Forces in Syria, killing two Hezbollah fighters, followed by an attack on Aug. 25 by two Israeli drones on Beirut's southern suburbs.
