BEIJING, May 28 (Xinhua) -- China issued a set of commemorative coins Tuesday featuring inscriptions of ancient bronze objects.

The set include one gold and four silver coins, all legal tender, the People's Bank of China said.

The gold coin, which is 22 mm in diameter, contains eight grams of pure gold and has a face value of 100 yuan (about 14.5 U.S. dollars).

Three of the silver coins, each with a diameter of 40 mm and 30 grams of silver, have the same denomination of 10 yuan, with an issuing amount of 20,000 each. The other silver coin, the only rectangular-shaped coin in the set, contains 150 grams of silver and has a denomination of 50 yuan, the central bank said.

A total of 10,000 gold coins and 5,000 rectangular-shaped silver coins are available for purchase, it said.
