SINGAPORE, Dec. 23 (Xinhua) -- Singapore welcomed 1.23 million visitor arrivals in November, reflecting a 12.2 percent increase compared to the same period last year, according to the latest data from the Singapore Tourism Board.
Visitors from Indonesia topped the charts with 194,440 arrivals, a 5.5 percent rise from November 2023.
China ranked second with 174,750 visitors, marking a significant 67.5 percent year-on-year surge. Local media attributed this growth to the China-Singapore mutual visa exemption implemented in February. For the first 11 months of 2024, China emerged as Singapore's largest source of visitors.
Malaysia secured the third spot with about 101,920 arrivals, reflecting a 9.1 percent year-on-year increase.
Despite the annual growth, November arrivals slightly declined from October's figure of 1.31 million.
The average length of stay for visitors in November was 3.54 days. ■
